Our Story

I started Altra Eyewear as a side project, juggling work as a diesel fitter, family life, and trying to stay active whenever I could. It began simply: I wanted a pair of performance sunglasses for running, but every pair I found cost $200+ or didn’t feel right.

So I thought why not make something better myself? That’s when Altra was born.

Altra Eyewear is for people who push themselves, in whatever way they define it. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1km or 20km, a single rep or a full trail ride doing something uncomfortable betters you as a person.
